About Christy L. Cole

Attorney Christy L. Cole is an experienced trial lawyer who is committed to providing her clients with professional, competent and effective legal representation. She is committed to a high standard of integrity and ethics.

Christy has experience is many areas of the law. As a former Assistant Prosecutor, Christy handled hundreds of cases in  Fulton County and Ottawa County. She also worked as an assistant juvenile prosecutor where she prosecuted numerous abuse, neglect and dependency cases.

Currently, Christy has a private law practice with a focus on Criminal Defense. She handles cases ranging from minor traffic violations to serious felony cases.

Aside from criminal defense work, Christy’s other areas of practice include divorce, child custody, wills, bankruptcy, real estate closings, accident cases, civil litigation, appellate work and landlord tenant law.

Christy earned her undergraduate degree in three years from Adrian College. After graduating with honors she enrolled in the University of Toledo, College of Law. She received her Juris Doctorate in 2001. Christy successfully passed the Ohio Bar Exam and was admitted to the practice of law. Christy is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court, for the Northern District of Ohio.

Christy also has taught courses in business and communication at Stautzenberger, College.

Christy is a member of the Toledo Bar Association, the Wood County Bar Association, the Ottawa County Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. She is also volunteers her time with the Red Cross, Toledo Humane Society and many other community organizations.

Christy understands that our legal system can be difficult to navigate and be emotionally taxing.
